Arrive in Mendoza and the Uco Valley, at the base of the stunning Andes Mountains. Enjoy a traditional tapas style dinner on your first evening.
After a light breakfast, head out to the Manzano trails for a hike in the Andes. In the afternoon enjoy a traditional Argentine Asado lunch on the vineyard. Enjoy a spa treatment before a romantic dinner.
Spend the morning on horseback for a ride through the Uco valley. In the afternoon stop by two local wineries and meet with their owners and head winemakers to learn about their sustainable agriculture practices that result in award winning wines.
Another day spent in the Andes Mountains hiking the pristine trails. In the afternoon enjoy a bike ride through the estate before your final dinner paired with the perfect wines.

The impact
Casa de Uco is located in an arid environment, with annual rainfall of 250 mm. The water used comes from groundwater, so every liter extracted is carefully reserved. The vineyards have a drip irrigation system and achieve 90% irrigation efficiency. Soil mapping allows the identification of areas with different drainages, and using this information the team can map and identify risks of poor drainages to best conserve water. The Hotel and Winery have an internal wastewater treatment system. The waters, after being treated, irrigate an area of 200 poplars; which help offset carbon dioxide emissions.
Casa de Uco uses solar panels with the goal to consume less gas. The hotel also keeps track of the energy consumption to make sure it doesn’t exceed a certain level, especially in areas like the kitchen. Because it's located in a mountain climate and the weather gets cold in winter, the heating system can be challenging. Casa de Uco has a mixed system of radiators to maintain a stable temperature in the hotel and also a heating system in each room, which can quickly reach a comfortable temperature as soon as the guests arrive.

Since deforestation is one of the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions (responsible for more GHG emissions than those of all the planes, trains and cars in the world), it is urgent to take action to prevent the advancement of deforestation. Casa de Uco is committed to reducing and offsetting their CO2 emissions. For this reason, they are donating 10 square meters of native forest in the Misiones jungle for each reservation that is made.. This will help prevent more CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere, thus offsetting the impact on the environment.
