Trip Terms and Conditions
Booking Requirements
Deposit
A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Please note that only once the deposit is received can the confirmation process of lodging and touring begin. This could mean that changes to the proposed itinerary may be considered should there be changes in availability from proposal to deposit received. You will be notified of any availability changes or modifications necessary.
Final Payment
The remainder of the trip’s balance is due 90 days prior to the trip's start date. For trips booked within 90 days of the start date, the entire balance is due at confirmation.
Remaining Balance
Any remaining outstanding balance is due 30 days prior to the trip's start date. Please note that some payments may be due during the trip (Example: The bill for a pre-reserved dinner).
Payment Methods
Payments for trips may be made with debit or credit cards, bank transfers (ACH), or wire transfers.
Cancellation Policy
Since each trip is tailored to each traveler, the cancellation policies can vary. Few and Far works hard to negotiate the best terms with our partners and oftentimes each operator has a different set of terms.
Few and Far’s general cancellation policy is as follows: Trip deposits are non-refundable. Few and Far will work closely with lodging and touring operators to recover any funds paid outside of the deposit, but no refunds are guaranteed. Cancellation fees may apply when canceled within 120 days of the trip’s start date or within the non-refundable windows established by lodging and tour operators.
Travel Insurance (travel insurance and traveler medical insurance) is required to book a trip in order to protect your investment and travelers throughout the trip. Few and Far is licensed to sell Travelex Policies and can create a custom policy for you upon booking.
Postponement,Reschedule, Alterations Policy
Few and Far kindly requests 60 days advance notice for any alterations (Postpone, reschedule, group size changes, etc). Any alteration requests open all itinerary items are newly subject to availability and possible price changes.
Force Majeure
Should events beyond the reasonable control of Few and Far or any partners, including but not limited to (1) acts of God, (2) war, including armed conflict, (3) strikes or labor disputes (4) disease (5) government regulation or advisory (including travel advisory warnings), (6) civil disturbance (7) terrorism or threats of terrorism (8) disaster, fire, earthquakes, hurricanes (9) unseasonable extreme inclement weather (10) or (11) any other cause reasonably beyond the parties' control, making the trip commercially impracticable, impracticable to perform, illegal, or impossible to fully perform. In such cases the affected parties may terminate this trip upon written notification, for a full refund. No additional compensation will be provided for other incurred costs.
Conservation Levy
Conservation levies will be added to the subtotal of the trip to support the continued conservation of any locations included in the trip.
Carbon Offset
In line with the Few and Far vision and ethos, a carbon offsetting fee will be added to the subtotal of each trip.
